Charles Dickens’ immortal classic, ‘A Christmas Carol’.  This adaptation by John Mortimer was first performed by the Royal Shakespeare Company in England and is a traditional, classical interpretation of the story.  On a Christmas Eve in 1843, the grumbling, selfish, and miserly Ebeneezer Scrooge gets an unexpected visit from his long-dead partner, Jacob Marley.  Marley shows Scrooge the long chains to which he is eternally bound which, he says, ‘I made of me own free will, every day I made money and forgot the poor.’  Marley announces the impending arrival of three Spirits, who guide Scrooge on a journey of his life, past, present and future.

Woodson Senior John Wassel brings humor and life to Scrooge, delighting audiences.  The Chorus weaves a beautiful narration, guiding audiences through a story of reflection and, ultimate realization that to give of ones self is far more satisfying than accumulating worldly wealth.  And you will not want to miss watching Scrooge and the Spirits actually fly through the night!
